PHP Programmer
June Media includes premium content sites that strive to engage, empower and enrich the lives of women 25-64. We have an opening for a full time on-site programmer for our Chicago office. If you have 3-5 years of PHP Object Orientated programming experience and are looking for a full time job in the Chicago Loop, here is what we are looking for:
Job Description:
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the technical and content team members to create and maintain multiple content websites and newsletters.
• Design, code, test, debug and implement new applications including new content sites and mobile applications.
Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirement:
• Bachelor’s degree in CIS or related programming field
• Willingness to work closely content and technical teams to produce a team-driven end product that leads to a top-notch customer experience
• Ability to deliver high quality work consistently and on time
• Attention to detail, while also considering the big picture
• Excellent communication skills
• Self-motivated with positive, whatever it takes attitude
• Advanced knowledge of LAMP, PHP (Object Orientated), MVC Framework and MySQL
• Strong Knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript are also required
• Experience with content management systems such as Joomla and WordPress a plus
• Experience with .Net, MSsql and C# a plus
